We are looking for a Software Developer with test automation experience at the API and UI (eg, Selenium and Protractor) level to be a key player on a small, growing team that is building innovative, new products. This is a blended position, where the candidate must be skilled in modern software development and automated test practices, including software architecture fundamentals, object oriented design, design patterns, and quality assurance.The QA developer will be a contributor on our real-time data collection, analysis, and visualization software development team working on challenging problems in the oil and gas production domain.Why should I apply here?5-year old company that has just transitioned from being a startup to a commercial operationBuilding revolutionary, disruptive technology with strong customer interestOpportunity to be part of a young company where your career grows with the success of the companyCollaborative, team-friendly environmentAn ‘A’ player software development staff where growth is modeled and expectedDeveloping and testing software using best practicesStock options offer long-term financial successWhat will I be responsible for?Working on the development, testing, deployment, quality assurance, and technical support of a suite of products and solutions built on Microsoft .NET Framework for web and mobile solutionsTranslating business requirements/user stories into acceptance test plans, test cases, test scripts and matrices to ensure comprehensive coverage of all software releases prior to distribution to demonstrate that the product meets the requirementsReviewing project requirements for testabilityPerforming different types of testing on systems including testing for existing and new functionality, regression, integration, load, stress, and ad-hoc testingDesigning and executing cross platform browser automated test plansCoding and testing software in accordance to design specifications and standardsParticipating in user story review, planning, development, sizing and backlog grooming to ensure test criteria are meaningfulTesting and tracking problems as well as identifying changes to ensure adherence to test plans and functional requirements specificationsDiagnosing, isolating, and identifying problems related to system failures caused by software errors, and utilizing software-based tracking toolsDesigning, implementing, and unit testing software in a collaborative team environment using Microsoft Visual Studio C#, F#, and/or TypeScript/JavaScriptWorking closely with customers, technical support, training, and product development organizations to track and troubleshoot issues, provide training, and mentoringConducting requirements analysis, design, and code reviews to ensure high quality products.
